Sarawak, Malaysia: No handshakes during Spring Festival greetings

According to a report by Sihua Daily, the standard operating procedure for the 2022 Chinese New Year will not allow people to hold handshakes and other contact activities during mutual visits during the Chinese New Year and Lantern Festival.This is stated in the revised Chinese New Year standard Operating Procedures for 2022 issued by the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee.Standard operating procedures also recommend maintaining a social distance of one meter in public meetings at all times.”People with symptoms are not allowed to attend family dinners.People need to wear masks at all times and wash their hands often with soap.”The SAND Council encourages everyone to take a COVID-19 self-test before participating in any activities.
